I’m super excited to share a mini home tour with my simple fall decor for the season!
My favorite time of the year is finally here! I love everything about Fall! The cool weather, the pumpkin spiced everything (I think every food item is required to have a pumpkin spiced flavor at this point), Halloween costumes and trick-or-treaters, Thanksgiving (deep-fried turkey, anyone?), cute and comfy clothes (fall clothes are so much cuter than summer clothes), and the adorable fall decor! I’ve always had so much fun decorating my home for fall. I almost hate taking down my fall decorations…except then I get to decorate for Christmas, which is even better! So as I sit watching fall Gilmore Girls episodes (because fall in Stars Hollow makes me happy) and drinking my first PSL (Pumpkin Spiced Latte, of course) of the season, I thought I would share a mini home tour with my simple fall decor! Enjoy!
Fireplace and Mantel
This is my favorite part of the house to decorate for the season. I keep this old, chippy window up on the mantel year-round, then I just change out the decor on the window to match the season. It gives me a farmhouse look without being too rustic. The chippy window came from a local antique store. I picked up this cute wreath at Hobby Lobby to hang on the window. I love the way it turned out! I think this is my favorite part of my decor this year.
The antique-looking scale came from Decor Steals a few months back. I topped the scale with a few little gourds that I picked up at Hobby Lobby last year. All the pumpkins pictured are from Hobby Lobby this year. I think Hobby Lobby is the best place to find decorative pumpkins! I got the burlap banner from Amazon. The candle holders came from….you guessed it! Hobby Lobby! I may or may not have a problem. I should mention this post is in no way sponsored by Hobby Lobby…I just find it is one of the best places to find affordable decor.
Here are a few of my favorite decorative pumpkins from Hobby Lobby!
This entryway cabinet came from a local antique store on the cheap. I love finding awesome pieces like this one. I want to get a bigger entryway table eventually, but this one will do for now. I kept the decor simple on this cabinet. The lamp and the “gather” sign are both from Hobby Lobby. I can’t find the exact sign I have any longer but here is one that is similar. I picked up the adorable wooden church at Tuesday Morning this past spring. I love decorating with florals, so I picked up this beautiful fall arrangement at Costco. Costco flowers are great! Now if I can just keep these babies alive (I tend to have a black thumb)!
This may be one of my favorite rooms in the house! I love the farmhouse table and bench which I had custom made by a local company. The distressed aqua dining chairs are from Wayfair and the white spindle wood dining chairs are from Overstock. I purchased the hutch on a local resale site. The rustic wire chandelier is from World Market.
I love the fall centerpiece that I put together using decor from last year and a cake stand! Using a cake stand is one of my favorite centerpiece hacks. I put a wreath around the cake stand and then stacked some random pumpkins on top. It was effortless and affordable. Here is the cake stand I use. It’s only $20 from Target!
In the hutch, I just have an old lantern I found at an antique store filled with fall “fillers” like gourds, leaves, and pine cones. I’ve picked these fillers up randomly throughout the years from Hobby Lobby, Target, and At Home. I also threw a couple of pumpkins in there for good measure and a cute little metal owl that I found with my fall decor box in the attic (no clue where that owl came from…mom brain).
Last but not least, my front door had to get into the fall spirit! The fall wreath was purchased last year from At Home. I was hoping to make a DIY fall wreath this year but taking care of a six-month-old makes me tired. So maybe next year. But I will probably still be tired. The Adirondack chair was built by Keith and I using plans from one of my favorite bloggers, Ana White. It was super simple to put together. I painted it (one day before I gave birth to Isaac, now that was a sight) using white chalk paint from Lowe’s. The cute harvest pillow in the chair is from Hobby Lobby (do you see a trend here?). I picked up the scarecrows last year at Hobby Lobby as well. Of course, you can’t have fall decor without pumpkins and mums, which I got at Lowe’s this past weekend. The doormat came from Target last year.
Here are some cute scarecrows I found at Hobby Lobby that would be so cute for front porch decor:
I hope you enjoyed this mini house tour! I plan to do a full house tour soon as I am still finishing up some rooms in our house. Now get out there and enjoy all things fall!
